Inspiration is a very capricious feeling and sometimes it absolutely refuses to come. But work is work, and it is unlikely that our schedules will be reconciled with the schedule of our muses every time.
I took the liberty and decided to offer you some more interesting options.
Inspiration for a Writer
Have you ever thought about the journey of the bread you just bought? Who baked it, from what flour? Who loaded it into the car, who delivered it to the store? Who came up with the recipe for that most delicious bread you buy every morning?
You may never see these people, and if you do cross paths with them by chance, you’ll never know it.
In the same way, you can reflect on any thing, any little thing that surrounds us in everyday life that we have never thought about before. And each thing keeps its own story from beginning to end. This story can have an infinite number of side branches, which can tell about the life of the baker or the life of the farmer who grows the wheat from which the flour was made.
Inspiration for the manager
It would seem that such «uncreative» work does not require inspiration. But I believe that all jobs are creative, and that everyone experiences occasional lapses in energy and desire to work. A manager is a creator who sees the inner workings of things, understands their essence and connects incoming tasks into a coherent whole so that the project is completed on time. In addition, he manages other people and must feel their strengths in order to distribute tasks correctly.
Try looking at how ants work… ants. Or bees. They are some of the most organized creatures on our planet. Everything is clear, everything is on schedule, and everyone works as a team, a single organism.
And if you can’t watch ants in the nearest park — for example, you’re at work until night, when even the ants are already asleep — you always have nails handy.
What do you find your inspiration in?
